The increasing cost of education today has made it difficult for the students to pay for the expenses for pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited US college or University. For those students, scholarships are the best way to get a financial support. The Hispanic Scholarship fund in collaboration with Toyota has announced the HSF Toyota scholarship 2011 to aid the undergraduate Latino students who are academically good.

The HSF Toyota scholarship 2011 program is a way to help those students who are financially not very sound and are planning to enroll for a full time four year or two year degree program. The scholarship will assist for the tuition fees, books, accommodation, transportation etc to the needful student. An amount in the range of $1000- $15,000 is rewarded under the scholarship program.

The deserving students qualifying in the HSF Toyota scholarship 2011 based on some criteria that are:

  • Academic achievement
  • financial need
  • Personal strengths and leadership skills

Applying for the HSF Toyota scholarship 2011:

Desired students can apply for the scholarship online on the official site of HSF where the applicant must register first. The applicants must also attach their resume with the complete filled in application. The deadline for the application is July 11, 2011 after which the application will not be accepted.

Eligibility conditions for the HSF Toyota scholarship 2011 are:

  • The applicant must be of Hispanic Heritage
  • The applicant must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident of US with a valid Social Security number
  • All legal permanent residents must submit their valid permanent resident card or a non expired passport stamped I- 551
  • The applicant should have a minimum 3.0 or more GPA
  • The applicant must apply for federal financial aid by completing the application for FAFSA
  • Must be permanently residing in one of the following places:
  1. Greater Los Angeles, CA
  2. Houston, Texas
  3. New York city, New York
  4. Chicago, IL
  5. Miami, Florida
  6. San Antonio, Texas
  7. Atlanta, GA
Must plan to enroll for a full four year degree course in an accredited US College or University in one of the regions mentioned above.
