RMHC McDonalds Scholarship 2011: Get Up Hurry

As a biggest food network of the world McDonalds have gained a lot of popularity and have taken a milestone in the field of scholarships for the brainy students who are not able to continue their studies due to financial crisis.



The McDonalds Scholarship 2011 is a scholarship provided by Ronald McDonald House charity to students based on financial need and merit selects student from each state and the District of Columbia. RMHC house of charity provide four types of scholarships and the consideration follows academic achievement, leadership and involvement in their community and it have distributed over 40 million dollars to the winning students since 1985.

The McDonalds scholarships 2011 are wide open for US citizens who reside in the places where there is a local chapter of RMHC. Even if RMHC Scholarships is of four types an applicant can apply for just one. Entries are available by online form submission or by sending a hard copy to the RMHC.

Four types of RMHC Scholarships 2010-2011 are:-

  • RMHC Asia Scholarship: - It is a minority scholarship program open for US citizen based on need and merit basis and the applicant should be eligible to attend an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational/technical school with complete course of study and student should have at least 1% of Asian-Pacific heritage.
  • RMHC African American future Achievers Scholarship: - Minority scholarship open for the students having at least 1% of African American or Black Caribbean heritage.
  • RMHC/HACER Scholarship: - This Scholarship program helps Hispanic students who have good academic background but are financially weak. The RMHC/HACER Scholarship program awards four $100,000 national scholarships each year and in addition there is local $1000 scholarship award as well.
  • RMHC Scholars Scholarship: - It is a general scholarship open for all students irrespective of their race who have a good academic background and financial need.

Students should meet certain qualifying criteria of the scholarship. All scholarship have same basic requirement with some change or more additional specific rules.

Eligibility required for RMHC Scholarships 2010-2011 are:-

  • Student should not be more than 21 years of age
  • Should be currently employed in U.S McDonalds with at least 4 working months with 15 hour of working a week prior to the date of application.
  • Should be a legal US citizen
  • Should be a high school senior
  • Should be eligible to attend a two or four year college or university with a full course study
  • Should live in a participating RMHC chapter’s area
  • Should meet any additional eligibility as required by each scholarship program
  • Should submit a complete application form with the required documents by the deadline
  • Should verify each year enrollment at the student’s accredited post-secondary institution
