Time Warner Scholarship 2011: Offering Financial Assistance to Students

The Time Warner Cable Scholarship 2011 is organized by Time Warner Cable and Scholarship Management Services. It is a scholarship program that has been designed basically for the high school students who want to opt for a four- year undergraduate course in US colleges or universities but are unable to bear the expenses.

Due to higher cost of education in the US colleges or universities, some students are unable to meet with the college fees. Hence, to assist and offer financial assistance to such students with their expenses, the Time Warner scholarship 2011 has been organized. This scholarship will select those undergraduate students who are opting for a full time four year degree course in Math, Science, Engineering and Technology. Under the scholarship program, a sum of $2000 will be rewarded to six deserving candidates. The Time Warner scholarship 2011 is rewarded without doing any discrimination based on race, color, origin, gender or disability.

The Time Warner scholarship 2011 will be awarded to six selected candidates on the basis of the following criteria and weighted as:

  • Financial need- 40%
  • Academic performance- 20%
  • Extra- curricular activities- 40%

The Time Warner Scholarship 2011 program form can be downloaded from the Time Warner Cable’s official site. You must fill the prescribed format carefully and with a complete high school grades transcripts you have to mail it to the Scholarship Management Services.

To be eligible for the Time Warner scholarship 2011, the applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant’s parents must be the customer of the Time Warner Cable
  • They must possess a cumulative 3.2 or higher grade point average in the high school
  • The applicant must plan to attend a full four year undergraduate course at an accredited US college or University
  • Applicant must plan to enroll for a degree course in Math, Science, Technology and Engineering
  • The interested candidate must have participated in the various activities organized in high school or community
  • The candidates applying must demonstrate his/her financial need
The scholarship amount is paid directly to the college the candidate chooses.
