University of California Berkeley Student Loans Aids Scholarship Grants!

The University of California is a very prominent university of USA. The university was chartered in the year 1868 and the campus was established at Berkley on the San Francisco Bay. There are total 14 colleges and schools that provide education in science, business, social sciences, engineering, law, journalism, public health, social welfare etc. If you are interested to take admission in Fall Semester 2010, then the last date of applying is 30th November, 2009. You would have to fill the University of California application Form. If you are applying as a freshman, then you would have to take 2 SAT Subject Tests and the ACT Assessment Test plus SAT Reasoning Test or Writing not later than December, 2009. You would also have to sit for the TOEFL Test if you don’t belong to English speaking country.

The UC Berkeley’s offers need blind financial assistance to all its admitted students depending upon their need. The university provides grants like Cal Grant A, cal Grant B, Pell grants, Supplemental Opportunity Grants, Academic Competiveness Grant, Smart Grants and University Grants. Federal Work study is a financial aid offered by the university in which the students can work at the university campus at $10 per hour. The students can also go for Stafford Loan, Perkins Loan or Parent loan. You would have to fill the FAFSA application aid and submit it with the relevant documents before 1st of march 2010.
