University of Virginia Student Loans Aids Scholarship Grants!

The University of Virginia is a public research university which is located in Charlottesville in Virginia. The university was founded in the year 1819 by Thomas Jefferson. It is the only university of USA to be regarded as World heritage Site by UNESCO. John T. Casteen III is the present President of Virginia University. There are approximately 20,000 students presently studying at this university with over 2,000 faculty members.



There are total 4 undergraduate schools and 8 professional and graduate schools under Virginia University. The university offers degrees in arts, sciences, architecture, law, engineering, medicine, management etc. In order to take admission to any of its colleges, you would have to fill the Common Application Form and UVA Supplemental Form. The forms are available from 1st of July. The last date to apply under Early Decision Plan is 1st November and under Regular Decision is 15th January. The results are declared on 1st of April and the last date for taking admission is 1st of May. The students would have to submit their test scores of SAT exam and TOEFL exam if they belong to non English speaking country.

Access UVA is a Financial Aid Program designed to make higher studies affordable. The University of Virginia offers financial assistance in the form of grants, scholarships and work study option. The different kinds of grants and Scholarships offered by the university are: College Scholarship Assistantship Program, Common Wealth Award, Federal Pell grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Thomas Quinn John’s Scholarship, Charles Fred Wonson Scholarship, Skinner Scholarship and Virginia Guaranteed Assistantship Program. Federal Work Study is a program offered by the university in which the students would have to work at the college campus and can earn regular monthly stipend to manage their day to day expenses. In order to apply for the financial aid, the students would have to fill the Virginia Financial Aid Application Form and submit it latest by March 1st. The students applying for federal Student loan would have to fill the online FAFSA Form and submit it with relevant documents by 15th of February.
